Formé en 1995 au Canada dans la province d'Alberta, Nickelback compte parmi les leaders du post-grunge, style qu'il a contribué à créer et à populariser en connaissant un très large succès commercial.
Caractérisé par des riffs proches du Hard-Rock, la voix rocailleuse de son leader Chad Kroeger et des ballades puissantes, le groupe s'est régulièrement installé au sommet des charts.
